This workshop was held in Narrabri on the 29th and 30th October was very well attended by 26 participants from across the district, from Boggabri to Walgett and as far away as Warialda. The participants enjoyed the expert guidance of Dr Julie Hodges, a Junior Intermediate Level II Iyengar yoga teacher from the Far North Coast region of NSW.

Dr Hodges has been teaching yoga for 15 years and continues to develop her training through studying at the Iyengar Institute in India and training with a senior Iyengar teacher in Sydney, Pixie Lillas.Workshop participants appreciated this local Narrabri opportunity to experience the guidance of such a skilled and dedicated teacher.

A donation of $400 from the workshop proceeds has been kindly donated to the Riding for Disabled for ongoing support of the wellbeing of disabled people across the Shire.

The Riding for the Disabled Association is always in need of many volunteers to come along to their meetings ten or twelve times per year.  This community service needs up to 4 volunteers per disabled rider and horse to conduct these therapeutic sessions.

The meetings are held fortnightly through the middle of the year to avoid the heat.  The training day for volunteers is free, membership is minimal at $5 and helpers do not need any experience with horses or disabled people.

Contact RDA President Ros Druce 67 944 530 or Trish Leitch 67 944 526 for details.

Narrabri class Christmas party at  Tatts 2010
It's been a very wet term and many of you have missed classes due to the floods and inaccessible ,boggy black soil roads.  However, some of the  Narrabri yoginis  enjoyed Christmas drinks & dinner after class at Tatts.  The Wee Waa gathering was cancelled due to the floods and the town being isolated for 2 weeks.
